NASA Launching Human-made Star Into Space

Washington: NASA is ready to launch a Human-made star into space in collaboration with different universities and departments.
This space mission named Landolt, which is approximately the size of a shoe box will be sent into space in 2029, and it will cover a distance of 35,785 kilometers from Earth.
This human-made star is equipped with 8 laser lights, and this star will emit a limited amount of radiation. After that, scientists will compare the brightness of this human-made star with that of natural stars. And scientists will create a better catalog of the brightness of space objects.

This catalog will help in the improvement of earth-based telescopes in measuring the lights of different stars, any unknown object in our galaxy and beyond the galaxy, stellar evolution, dark energy, the expansion of the universe, and black holes.
The size of this human-made star is almost equal to the size of a shoe box and its cost is about 1 crore 95 lakh dollars. This star will be easily seen in the sky with the naked eye. This mission is expected to have a significant impact on astronomy.
The ground center of this mission will be established at George Mason University in Virginia, USA.
