Astronomers discover 3 possible super-Earth planets

Astronomers discover 3 possible super-Earth planets: Dr. Shweta from the University of Exeter finally discovered the 3 possible super-Earth planets with their team of international researchers.
These planets are about 55 light years away from Earth and orbit around HD 48498 star. These planets complete one orbit around HD 48498 in 7, 38, and 151 days, respectively, as compared to Earth.

The team explained that the outermost exoplanet resides in the comfortable zone of their host star. This region is a region where water remains in its actual state without freezing or boiling. This region is called Glodilocks, and the Goldilocks region is considered to be an ideal region for supporting life.
Researchers highlighted the significance of the discovery by saying that this orange star is similar to our sun and that the planets that orbit around the sun are the most habitable planets like our Earth.
On June 24, 2024, the research results were published in the journal MNRAS.
