Soon Abu Dhabi will set a record as the world’s first city to operate an air taxi service by the end of 2025.

After the agreement with local US company name ARCHER, this company will also build the electric vertical takeoff and landing (EVTOL) aircraft in the UAE capital.

If the project is successful, the Archer’s Midnight craft will be able to move between multiple ‘vertical ports’ across the city with four passengers, due to which travel times will be reduced to 80%.

According to a spokesman of the company, the Midnight has the same safety profile as commercial airliners, while it is 100 times quieter than a helicopter when flying at high altitudes.
