Google will run its Artificial Intelligence through small nuclear reactors.

California: Google has signed an agreement to run its artificial intelligence with small nuclear reactors. This is the very first time in the world that any tech company is using a nuclear reactor.
This agreement is between two companies, tech giant Google and Kairos Power. Kairos Power is basically a startup company in California.Â
After announcing the deal, Google said in one of the blog posts that the new generation of advanced nuclear reactors offers a new path to growth in nuclear installations. This was possible due to its simple design, robustness, and inherent safety.

Kairos Power technology works by using a golf ball-sized fuel made up of ceramic with a cooling system consisting of molten salt to generate energy from a steam turbine.
The small size and modular design of a nuclear reactor can reduce the construction period as compared to the giant nuclear reactor. Also, they can be installed in any location.
Both Google and Kairos Power say that this technology is not commercially available till now, so this deal will help scale up the technology and help spread clean energy technology more widely.
