Beijing: Chinese scientists finally found a method to distill large quantities of water using lunar soil. This method was found after a long research period of 3 years.
According to CCTV, the scientists found the method to collect water from the soil of the moon as they had a sample of soil during China’s 2020 Chang’e-Five mission, and this was the very first mission to bring a sample of the moon in 44 years.

Researchers from the Chinese Academy of Science found that there is a huge amount of hydrogen in the soil of the moon, which may be converted into water vapors by reacting with other elements at very high temperatures.
According to the CCTV, this might help us in designing and building a research and space station on the moon. The ability to produce water from the moon soil might help China to establish a long-term permanent base on the moon.
